Define the scope of your private-label project

Branding an existing part and developing a changed component require different reviews. Start by identifying which parts already meet the required application and which specifications need to change. Tooling, minimum quantities, available documents and sample requirements must be discussed for the selected product and supplier; they are not identical across all seven categories.

  • Existing product with your packaging: provide the reference, artwork requirements, box size, labels and destination language.
  • Changed specification: provide a controlled drawing, critical dimensions, material or performance requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Sample review: identify the sample version, comparison reference and measurements to be agreed before an order.
  • Commercial review: state quantities per part, destination and required delivery date; confirm feasibility and terms before committing.

Keep technical and packaging approvals separate

Approve the component specification and intended vehicle application alongside the packaging artwork. A change to a label does not establish product fitment or compliance. Request the documents relevant to the actual product and destination, and confirm whether those documents apply to the version being ordered.

Browse the current product catalogue, prepare questions with technical support, then send your reference list and project brief.
